Subbia Antica Brunello di Montalcino

Named for Tuscany’s picturesque Abbey of Sant Antimo, it’s as intricate in aroma and flavor as the ornate stone columns that support this famous monument (subbia means ‘chisel’). Black cherry, blueberry, tobacco and spice aromas lead to a generous palate, with excellent structure and complexity, courtesy of two long years in barrel and another three months in bottle. Look for layers of ripe cherry, forest fruits and wild herb flavor, supported by a velvety texture, firm tannins and a long, savory finish.
